Sheila’s professional background spans church ministry, university and seminary education, counselling and supervision. She is a Registered Psychotherapist and Registered Marriage and Family Therapist, AAMFT Clinical Fellow and Approved Supervisor, CASC Certified Psycho-Spiritual Therapist & Educator-Supervisor, MBTI Certified Practitioner and Certified Focusing Trainer. She has been the Director of Tyndale Counselling Services for 21 years. In that role she meets with students to find the right therapist for their personality preferences and counselling goals and ensures that the team of therapists and psychiatrists meet the needs of the student community. Sheila also offers counselling to individuals, couples and families and clinical supervision to therapists in the wider community in her private practice. Areas of special interest include marriage preparation, couple communication and conflict resolution, self-esteem, spirituality, healing from trauma and/or abuse, and application of insights from personality assessments such as the MBTI . Interests outside of her professional life include camping with her husband and son, fitness, and youth work.
