Introduction to Social Welfare

Involves a critical and analytical examination of theoretical, ideological, philosophical, political, and socioeconomic bases within social welfare that underlie social work practice. Specific topics covered may include: child poverty, homelessness, and visible minority youth violence. Prerequisites: SOCI 101,102. Exclusion: SOCI 351.
