Hello Bible College and University Students,
Bridle Trail Baptist Church is pleased to announce that we will be hosting 3 weeks Vacation Bible Camp this summer of 2017. This is a great opportunity for students to make a difference in the lives of many children and their families. We have 4 Camp Coordinator positions available for students who are looking for a fulltime paid position during the summer in which they will gain ministry experience with children, preteens and teenagers. The coordinators will oversee a team of volunteers are part of the program. This position reports directly to the Director of Children Ministry.
Qualifications:
• Maintains a personal active relationship with Jesus Christ
• Preferably a full time returning student for Sept 2017.
• Enthusiastic and able to take initiative!
• Preferably working towards a degree that involves Children, Teen and Ministry. For example if you are working toward a degree in teaching, ministry or a degree that relates to children.
• Have a love and desire to serve and work with children, tweens and teens.
• Able to work all required hours.
• Works well as part of a larger team.
• Well versed and constantly digging into God’s Word.
Job Description
• Provide leadership for the planning and executing of VBC.
• Able to work the appointed hours (9 am-5pm) 30 hours per week with one hour off for lunch.
• Full work days are from July – August, Monday to Friday. (Dates will be announced in 2017)
• Attend all meetings and participate in registration for VBC (this will take place on Sundays).
• Volunteer management and mentoring teen volunteers.
• Modify the VBC curriculum to fit the needs of the Campers and the program.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise children on outings
• Teach the Word of God and explain the Gospel to young children.
• Be prepared to provide leadership during a potential mission trip. Coordinators will participate in the planning of the curriculum and activities. (Further detail provided in interview)
• Be available for further training as required. (Gospel sharing, Administrative tasks and mentoring).
