Position: Youth Ministry Intern
Job Description: Part-time employment for single or multiple semesters with a leaning towards administrative and organizational responsibilities with the Youth Ministry Team.
Hours/week: 5-10
Anticipated start date: October 1, 2017
Who We Are: The Sheridan Park Youth Ministry Team is a group of volunteers with a desire for the development and spiritual growth of youth through fun, relevant and meaningful programs, reaching out into the community, and building long-term interpersonal relationships with the youth in the Sheridan Park Church and surrounding areas.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Meet with Youth Ministry Leaders to provide leadership and accountability in the planning and follow-through of Youth Ministry programs
• Develop and encourage new and innovative ideas for outreach and growth opportunities, spiritual and otherwise, for and through our youth to the surrounding community
• Assist in the organization, scheduling and programming of meaningful youth group activities
• Coordinate the tasks and responsibilities of the Youth Ministry leaders and volunteers
• Develop and coordinate effective means of advertising within the church and surrounding community, including the church website and other social media

Qualifications and Skills:
• Possess a clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a vibrant, growing, personal relationship with Him
• Possess a passion and sense of God’s calling for the outreach and spiritual growth of youth and young adults
• Demonstrate leadership and ability to think strategically, set goals and carry out an action plan
• Able to communicate and work with a positive attitude as a team member and willing to listen and learn
• Provide a clean police record check in accordance with the Church’s Plan to Protect
