The Nehemiah Center is a community of learning and service that contributes to the formation of leaders and to the continuing training of pastors using a biblical and holistic worldview, and that cultivates local, national, and international collaboration for Christ-centered cultural transformation of communities and nations.
Opportunity Description:
Gain valuable experience in capturing and communicating stories of transformation! Work with the Communications Department in the marketing and promotional activities of the Nehemiah Center.
The principal tasks will be:
1. Create a database of high quality photos for use in publications and social media
* Attend and take pictures at Nehemiah Center events
*Visit churches and communities connected with the Nehemiah Center to take picutres
2. Write stories of transformation
*Interview Agents of Transformation, Pastors, and employees of Nehemiah Center
* Write and translate (Spanish & English) Stories
3. Assist with Social Media
*Develop Facebook post ideas
*Assist with website updates
4. Design promotional material for Nehemiah Center
*General Nehemiah Center brochure
*Program brochures
*Other promotional material
5. Video Production
*Film and edit videos when necessary
6. Train Communications Coordinators in the basics of Graphic Design

Qualifications: Volunteer must have a background in Media & Communication and a desire to serve in Nicaragua and the Nehemiah Center.
Cost Notes:
Costs vary depending on departure city, length of time in country, and Spanish language level. Average prices are as follows. $500 per month for room and board $40 per week for language classes $20 per week for in-country travel.
