Financing your Bachelor of Education

Tyndale is pleased to offer this exciting tuition award of $5,000 to twenty successful Tyndale alumni Bachelor of Education applicants. This award is offered automatically to the first 20 alumni to register.*
* Some conditions apply. An applicant will be considered a Tyndale alumi if he/she has successfully completed at least four full terms (i.e., two years) or has been granted a degree or a certificate from Tyndale University College, Tyndale Seminary or any of its predecessors. To qualify for this award, applicants will have been successfully admitted and registered into the Tyndale Bachelor of Education program for the July 2012 term. A committee will confirm the final recipients.Leadership Award
Tyndale will match, dollar-for-dollar, church sponsorships towards a student’s education to a maximum of $500. This could equal up to $1,000 in aid for B.Ed students. This program partners with congregations to develop able leaders and help students afford the costs of tuition. Connect your church to this innovative and helpful program.

Students may be eligible to receive a maximum of $20,000 in OSAP aid.
Please put down August 1, 2012 as the start date of the B. Ed. program to match with the definition of OSAP academic year. Please use the 2012-2013 application when applying for OSAP which will become available in coming April. Please visit the OSAP website for details.
The Forgivable Loan Program permits qualified students to raise funds to pay for part or all of their tuition and living expenses.*
Anyone who contributes to this program will receive a charitable tax receipt for the full amount of their donation for income tax purposes.

Students can qualify for private education loans up to $10,000 from their local bank. Please contact your local bank for details.
Tyndale will provide a subsidy for the interest incurred on a student loan for full-time students enrolled in the B. Ed. program. The subsidy will be calculated based on the prime interest rate in Canada plus 1% and the loan amount that the interest will be subsidized on must not exceed $5,000.*

Entering teacher candidates who pay 25% of their outstanding balance by March 31 (the date is subject to change) will be eligible for an early payment discount of $1000. More details to come at a later date.
