FAQ

What reference letters are required?

Two reference letters are required for the B.Ed. application:

1) An Academic / Employer Reference Letter.  This letter should be submitted by one of your former professors.  If you are unable to obtain such a reference, you may have your employer write a reference letter that comments specifically on your academic skills(i.e. your ability to learn, work with information and communicate both orally and in written form).

2) A Character Reference Letter: This letter should come from a member of the clergy from your faith community.  If this is not possible we will accept a character reference from your employer or supervisor.

Optional: You may choose to have a letter of reference provided by a supervisor from a school or organization in which you are involved that serves school-age children.

Referees are to send their reference letters directly to the Admissions Office at Tyndale University College.  The same referee may not provide both required reference letters.

Directions to the Bayview Campus

Directions from the Main Campus

To get to the Bayview Campus from Tyndale University College & Seminary, go north on Ballyconnor Court towards Garnier Court. Turn left on Garnier Court and go straight to Bayview. Turn left on Bayview and go south on Bayview to the main gates of the campus.

Via TTC

Take the Bayview 11 bus northbound from the Bayview subway station. Get off at the first stop after Cummer Avenue.

TTC riders may also take the Cummer 42 bus from the Finch subway station. Get off at Bayview Avenue and walk north, 10 minutes, to the front gates of the campus.

Via Highway 401

Take the Bayview Ave. north exit and drive north past Cummer Ave. The Bayview campus is on the east side of Bayview at 3377. Turn right and the first gate and park at the South-East end of the building.

Via Don Valley Parkway/Highway 404

Take the Highway 401 West exit. Take 401 to Bayview Ave. and get off at the north exit. Drive north past Cummer Ave. The Bayview campus is on the east side of Bayview at 3377. Turn right at the first gate and park at the South-East end of the building.

Via Highway 407

Take the Bayview Ave. South exit and continue driving south of Steeles Ave. East past Garnier Court to 3377 Bayview Ave. Turn left at the third gate and park at the South-East end of the building.
