After having served the Toronto District School Board as the Science Coordinator K-12, Doug facilitated the teacher candidates' learning of science for ten years. He was lead author of Addison-Wesley's Science and Technology Grades 4 to 8 series (1999). He has transitioned into the role of Research Professor so as to concentrate on projects that will contribute to teacher and student learning in the areas of soil and climate scicences.
