How to Tap Your Tyndale Card

  1. Each of Ricoh multi-function printers is equipped with a tap RFID reader
  2. The RFID readers can be found on the right hand side of each unit
  3. For best results tap the Tyndale card with the magnetic stripe on the RFID reader swiftly
  4. Examine the screen on the printer for indications that your card was read

How to Register Your Tyndale Card

In order to copy, print or scan you must login to the printer

The first time you tap your card at one of the printers, you must login. This login will connect your card with your Tyndale printing account. Once this is complete you will only need to tap your card to use Tyndale's printing services.

First time using your card:

  1. Tap your Tyndale IDcard on the RFID reader
  2. If your card has been read you will recieve the message "Your card is not known to the system. press NEXT to associate your card with an account"

     

  3. Press NEXT to continue
  4. You will now see a screen with the message "Enter username and password to associate your card with an account"

     

  5. Enter your Mytyndale(Students) or Tyndale(Employee) user ID (example  smithjohn or jsmith) and password using the on-screen soft keyboard on the MFP front panel
  1. Press Associate to register the card in the system.
     
  2. Your card is now registered and you can now tap OK to access print functions
  3. When complete be sure to press “Log Out”

How to Transfer Your Existing Balance to Your New Printing Account

  1. Bring your Tyndale Student Card to the Campus Services office (formerly known as Hospitality) anytime Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  2. Campus Services will read your card to determine the remaining balance, add your balance to your new account and provide a receipt
  3. Your balance will be active immediately and usable on any of the Student Printers in the Libraries and Computer Lab

Printing & Copying Costs

  • Black & white printing/copying $0.08/page
  • Colour printing/copying $0.35/page
  • Scanning to email $0.00/page

How to Copy

  1.     Tap your registered Tyndale ID Card (If you haven't registered your card, register it now.)
  2.     Press “Use Device Functions” on the touch screen
     
  3.     Press "Scanning" on the touch screen
     
  4.     Insert your originals face up on the feeder or face down on the scanner
  5.     Configure the required options and proceed with the copy by pressing the green Start button
     
  6. When finished be sure to press the “HOME” button, select the PaperCut icon and "LOG OUT"

How to Scan to email

  1. Tap your registered Tyndale ID Card (If you haven't registered your card, register it now.)
  2. Press “Use Device Functions” on the touch screen
  3. Press "Scanning" on the touch screen
  4. Insert your originals face up on the feeder or face down on the scanner and Select Scan-to-PDF (no OCR)
     
  5. Proceed with the Send-2-email by pressing the green Start button
     
  6. When finished be sure to press Log Out.

Email-to-Print

There are four email addresses available to send your print jobs to from your @mytyndale email address, the address you choose determines the way the printer will output your document. Choose your desired output and attached your PDF or Image document(s). Go to any "PrintAnywhere" printer and login to release your print job.
