How to Place a Request on OnTRAC

If the book that you want is signed out, you can place a request on OnTRAC so that it will be held for you. The library staff will contact you when it becomes available and it will be held for you at the Circulation Desk for 7 days. Make sure that the book is already on loan before you try to place a request for it.
However, reserve materials are loaned on a first-come-first-served basis. No requests on hold for reserves through OnTRAC will be processed by the Library.

Step 1: In the internet address field, enter cat.tyndale.ca

Step 2: You will see the OnTRAC screen. Click on the "Basic Search" (or "Advanced Search") link.

Step 3: Search for the item for which you wish to place a request. If multiple items appear, click on the one that you want.
