Financial Soccer is a multiple-choice question game, testing players’ knowledge of financial management skills as they advance down field, and try to score goals. Although the information is US-based there are some resources this fast-paced game does have resources that encourages users to think about Financial Literacy and terms that are used in the financial world.  Educators are encouraged to review and download the lesson modules, at right, before actual game play. Toronto journalist investigates the use of neuroscience in education

Toronto journalist, Alana Mitchell, is a writer and a journalist that specializes in global science issues. Over the past year she spent much time investigating the push to use brain science to improve education.

The series of her articles investigating this controversial issue first appeared in the Toronto Star on Saturday, October 31, 2009 and it ran until Saturday, November 7, 2009.

EDU Library hours for November - December

Please be advised that the Education Library will be open the following hours starting Monday, November 16th  to Saturday, December 19th.

Monday to Thursday
1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Friday
10:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Saturday
12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Sunday
Closed

We have adjusted the hours to better accommodate the schedules for our teacher candidates as they go out to their placements in the public schools. Let’s all keep them in our prayers.

The Education Library will also be quieter than usual, so why not take advantage of our super-quiet study space as your write your final papers and prepare for your final exams.

The Education Library has a quiet study room for group sessions and there are quiet study carrels in the stacks area.
We hope you are able to take the time to come and visit us.
