The new library is not just about books anymore

All across Canada, public libraries are taking a new shape. Far from being the traditional centers of dusty books and printed materials, libraries are evolving into bustling, wired community hubs - with ever increasing circulation and tech-heavy inventories.

Library Renovations have started

The air conditioning on the lower level of the main library is being installed. This means some noise and dust on the lower level. You may retrieve items from the stacks but may prefer to study on the upper level while all of this is going on.

Library renovations in 2010

The J. William Horsey Library will be undergoing renovations in 2010. We will be installing new windows and air conditioning to provide a more suitable atmosphere for our community and our books. The improvements are scheduled to begin January 18 on the lower level of the library and may result in some interruption of library services. Please check here for the latest news and updates.
