Reminder of Workshop on Canadian Copyright Law and the Internet

February 17th, 2010
12:00 p.m. – 12:40 p.m.
Classroom 2 at the Bayview Campus (3377 Bayview Avenue)

Workshop description:

The main reason why Canadian Copyright law pertaining to internet resources is problematic is because there is no general policy. There are, however, some general guidelines and principles that teachers can abide by in order to use internet resources within the scope of copyright law.

The goal of this workshop is to teach users general principles such as “Terms of Usage”, “Open-Access”, “Creative Commons Licenses” and “Public Domain” materials and how each applies to the use of online resources within the scope of copyright policy.

This workshop is to complement and add to the knowledge that you gained through the Access Copyright talk that you attended in January.

To sign up for the workshop, please e-mail Mark Mueller (mmueller@tyndale.ca) or sign the workshop registration sheet in the green duo-tang at the Education Library Circulation Desk.

Please note: the content of this workshop is for informational purposes only and should not be used to substitute the advice of a copyright lawer.
