Main Library Renovations ~ Summer 2010 and Limited Access to Library Books
Renovations at the J. William Horsey Library to increase our shelving capacity are underway. The work involves the installation of mobile shelving on the whole south side of the library’s lower level. A large part of our book collection classified from BR to BX is now in storage and will be inaccessible until mid-August.
While the entire lower level is closed to the public during the renovation, materials remaining on the lower level shelves will be retrieved upon request by library staff between 9-5 Monday to Friday. These materials include, books classified from C-Z, periodicals and pamphlets. A section of shelving has been designated on the upper level for new books, books needed for summer courses and books returned from circulation.
The following materials are unaffected by the renovation: Books classified from A-BQ, Audio visuals, microforms, reference materials and electronic resources.
The Library is a wonderful place to visit this summer. Come to read, study and research in air conditioned comfort.
