Reference Universe (trial until March 18)

Take a look at this new database called Reference Universe. It searches through the library’s print and electronic reference collection and tells you where you can find the articles you are looking for. The full version will link to even more sources.
Reference sources help familiarize you with a topic before you delve into the more detailed information. This is a great place to start your research.

Library Renovation Update

Thank you for your patience during the current renovations in the main library. The installation of new windows on the lower level is almost complete. Starting Tuesday Feb. 2, the heavy work moves upstairs with the replacement of windows and installation of air conditioning. We expect that the most disruption and noise will occur this week. People who wish to study in the library will be most comfortable on the lower level beginning Tuesday. Just a reminder that on Tuesday Feb. 2, the library will be closed 11:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

J. William Horsey Library Renovation Update

Well the renovations are continuing in the library. Today we were closed for a couple hours around chapel time in the middle of the day. The guys working for Berkim Construction worked really fast and even clean up after themselves! They were tearing down part of the ceiling near the library entrance to make way for the air conditioning. What’s next? The windows. The lower level is first. That will be happening this week. Let’s pray for some warm weather! I really appreciate everyone’s cooperation. We still have some cold temps and noise to get through, but once it is done we will be basking in the glorious result! Yes, things will get better if we endure.
Thanks for your patience everyone!

Library Renovations have started

The air conditioning on the lower level of the main library is being installed. This means some noise and dust on the lower level. You may retrieve items from the stacks but may prefer to study on the upper level while all of this is going on.
