The Illuminated St. John’s Bible now complete

It has taken 15 years but the illuminated St. John’s Bible is now complete. It is the first illuminated handwritten manuscript of the Bible commissioned by a Benedictine monastery in over 500 years.

New Library Resources: STAO Online Resources & World Religions Online

The two following online resources are now available to the Tyndale library user community.

STAO Online Resource Database

The Science Teachers’ Association of Ontario’s (STAO) online resource database is now available to the Tyndale library user community. This extensive digital collection contains well over 1,000 lesson plans and lesson planning resources (i.e. videos, websites, etc.) that could be used to teach one any topic in science in the Ontario classroom. This online library also contains back issues of the STAO’s online publications Crucible and Elements.

Facts On File: World Religions Online

This Facts-on-File database contains articles that explore and provide a thorough introduction the world’s major religions and spiritual traditions and their impact on society and culture. This database also contains videos, images, and downloadable chronologies that outline that history of these major world religions. World Religions Online also contains a calendar of the significant holidays and feasts for the religious and spiritual traditions that it covers.
