Christian Careers Canada Rebuilds Website

Friday, February 7, 2014 is a free online service operated by Tyndale University College & Seminary. Created in 2000, the site is designed to help build bridges between people looking for positions and the employers offering them.

Recently, the website was completely rebuilt to offer a more robust system for users. This includes many new features such as more help pages, options to bookmark career postings, and the ability to search careers by location, keyword, or title.

The largest change was that the site has been built on a brand new server. This will ensure a faster and more stable service for users.

One feature that has been removed is the resume service offered to job seekers. “When planning the rebuild of Christian Careers Canada, we looked closely at the website statistics,” said Andy Smith, Website Administrator & Lead Developer at Tyndale. “We noticed that people were creating resumes but the resumes were not being viewed by employers very often. We are looking at how to serve the job seeker better. This could include a job seeker profile on the site with a link to outside services like LinkedIn.”

On any given month, can have over 100 active career postings on the site. “Although this activity is significant, it’s not just about getting traffic to Christian Careers Canada,” said Andy. “We really just want to serve the Christian community across Canada and be a service that bridges people and possibilities.”
