Naomi Peters Wins 2017 Word Award

Earlier this year, Tyndale’s Naomi Peters [BA 2019] was honoured at the 2017 Word Awards celebrating Canadian Christian writers. Naomi, who is currently in the English program, won the award in the Article - Long Feature category in recognition of “Not Just a Statistic,” her article on missing and murdered Indigenous women.

Tyndale was well represented at the 2017 Word Awards. In addition to Naomi’s award, President Emeritus Brian Stiller was honoured with the Les Tarr Lifetime Achievement Award and received an award for his new book, “An Insider’s Guide to Praying for the World”. Also, David Busuttil [BA 2009] received a runner-up award for his poem “Naomi’s Lament.”
