Tyndale Wins 5 Canadian eduStyle Awards for Web Innovation

Wednesday, June 26, 2013

The first Canadian regional eduStyle awards were announced in Vancouver on June 25. The awards celebrated the “most innovative and exciting developments” in higher education web development in Canada.

Tyndale was nominated in three categories: Best Overall Website, Best Magazine Site and Best Library Site. In each category two awards were given, one for the People’s Choice and the other was voted on by a panel of judges.

Tyndale won in each category for a total of five awards out of a potential six. This included the People’s Choice award for Best Overall Website, and the People’s Choice and Judged awards for both Best Magazine Site and Best Library Site.

Tyndale tied York University’s Lassonde School of Engineering for the most awards, winning five each.

“This is an honour to have won these awards and to be recognized by those in higher education,” said Andy Smith, Tyndale’s Website Administrator and Lead Developer. “We definitely have a great team who has pulled together to create a site that we believe is as vibrant as the Tyndale community.”

In September 2012, Tyndale launched a brand-refresh including the rebuild of its website using current best-practices in the market. The new website was created to meet the needs of the community, including new user-friendly enhancements and options to the magazine and library site.  The website is always evolving and the team will continue to focus on satisfying the needs of the institution and students.
