Pastoral Ministry - Bachelors of Religious Education

Overview

Overview

The Bachelor of Religious Education (BRE) Pastoral Ministry is a practical professional degree that will equip you with the skills you need for this ministry role. In this three-year program, you will receive training that you can actively apply to your current and future ministry career.

In the BRE Pastoral Ministry program, you will learn how to preach, teach and practice pastoral care. You will gain a strong foundation in many aspects of pastoral ministry, and your internship will provide you with opportunities to gain practical experience while further developing your ministry skills.  In addition, courses in worship, scripture, discipleship and global Christianity will give you a deeper understanding of the complexities of pastoral ministry in our contemporary culture.

The BRE Pastoral Ministry degree will challenge you to think critically about the issues that affect today’s church and the role of pastors. Combined with your field training, your interactions with your professors and fellow students will provide you with the knowledge, practical skills and spiritual growth necessary to help you follow your calling.
