Youth Ministry - Bachelor of Religious Education

Overview

Overview

The Bachelor of Religious Education (BRE) Youth Ministry is a practical professional degree that will equip you with the skills you need for this ministry role. In this three-year program, you will receive training that you can actively apply to your current and future ministry career.

In the BRE Youth Ministry program, you will learn how to teach, mentor and guide young people through this pivotal stage in their lives. You will gain a strong foundation in youth ministry, and your internship will provide you with opportunities to gain practical experience while further developing your ministry skills. In addition, courses in Canadian youth culture, discipleship and global Christianity will give you a deeper understanding of the complexities of youth ministry in our contemporary culture.

The BRE Youth Ministry degree will challenge you to think critically about the issues that affect today’s youth and the role of youth workers. Through your interactions with your professors, fellow students and young people, you will gain the knowledge, practical skills and spiritual growth necessary to help you follow your calling.
