Making Sense of the Biblical Portrait: Toward an Interpretive Strategy of Proverbs 31:10-31
Making Sense of the Biblical Portrait: Toward an Interpretive Strategy of Proverbs 31:10-31
Donald A. Leggett has been an integral member of Tyndale College & Seminary for more than 35 years. Beginning in 1964 as Professor of Old Testament at Ontario Bible College, he became a founding faculty member of Ontario Theological Seminary in 1976.
These essays are a tribute to an outstanding teacher, pastor and scholar. This highly readable collection of new essays will interest everyone with a love of the Old Testament, especially pastors, theological students, and Christian scholars. The book offers fresh perspectives on key texts and themes in the Hebrew Bible, as well as biblical-theological reflection on important issues of biblical interpretation, Christian doctrine, and spiritual formation.
Contributors to this volume include Ian S. Rennie, Victor Shepherd, John A. Vissers, Barbara M. Leung Lai, Nancy Calvert-Koyzis, Terrance Tiessen, Dennis K.P. Ngien, Mark Husbands, Jeffrey P. Greenman, and Roy R. Matheson.
