Emerging Movements in Postmodern Ministry

— PAST 0561 (3)

Helps students to understand and analyze recent cultural developments in North America and the place of the Church in it. Emerging theological trends will be explored, as well as various models of church life that seek to address the realities of ministry in the contemporary context (e.g., the emerging church, missional church, house church, internet church, the new monasticism, etc.). Students will be invited to think critically about these trends and to develop their own ideas and positions on the theological contours and contextual challenges of ministry in the postmodern context.
