History and Theology of Christian Spirituality

A detailed study of Christian spirituality in the period between the Apostolic Fathers (2nd century) and the late Middle Ages (15th century). Particular focus is placed upon the Greek and Latin patristic traditions of spirituality, Celtic spirituality and mediaeval English catholic spirituality. Prerequisite: SPIR 700. Same as THEO 602 and HIST 602.
