Youth and Family Ministry in the Immigrant Church

Designed for those leaders who work with families in the immigrant church setting (Chinese or other ethnic churches). Includes a study of the theology and principles behind family ministry and youth ministry. Students will learn practical ways to set up family and/or youth ministry in their church. Issues related to the life stages of individuals and families will be covered. Contemporary Canadian youth/parent issues will be explored with special focus on the immigrant church context. Issues related to counselling youth and their parents will also be discussed. Same as CHIN 781.
