Tyndale Seminary Programs
The significance of one opportunity
Tyndale Seminary offers five types of graduate programs: Doctor of Ministry (DMin), Master of Theology (ThM), Master of Divinity (MDiv), Master of Theological Studies (MTS) and Graduate Diplomas.
The Doctor of Ministry program is an advanced degree designed for Christian leaders who are seeking to further develop their skills and capacities for effective leadership. (more...)
The ThM program allows you to explore biblical, theological or historical studies at the most advanced level short of a PhD or ThD program. (more...)
The MDiv is a three-year (if done full-time) degree designed primarily for those considering vocational church-based ministry. (more...)
The MTS is a two-year (if done full-time) foundational graduate degree that will develop your theological understanding for general educational purposes. (more...)
And the Graduate Diploma is a one-year (if done full-time) program geared towards adult learners interested in being equipped for ministry in your chosen profession. (more...)
Flexible learning options such as online courses and modular degrees are also available in the MDiv, MTS and Graduate Diplomas.

There are four streams that come together in each of our degrees to provide an integrated and holistic educational experience:
Christian Tradition
Courses on biblical interpretation, the Old and New Testaments, systematic theology and church history develop your capacity to think critically and constructively about faith and culture that is biblically-based and rooted in the historic Christian tradition.
Cultural Context
All our courses are geared toward understanding the intersection of Christianity with culture, and enable you see, hear and personally embrace a gospel-shaped engagement with urban, Canadian pluralistic culture.
Spiritual Formation
Through focused coursework, mentoring experiences and communal worship, the program integrates your personal growth into spiritual maturity, as a member of a community that demonstrates love of God and neighbour.
Missional Leadership
Issues of Christian leadership and congregational development are woven throughout the courses, so that you gain an ability to empower the people of God to become agents of peace, justice and reconciling love in the context of your own world.
Whatever your interests, calling and situation—Tyndale Seminary has a program for you. Click on the links above for more detailed information about each program.
