Global and Local Mission

Tyndale gives you the chance to serve both globally and in the local context of Toronto. Get involved by using your gifts and talents to help those in need.

Local Ministry

Join a team that works with the needy in Toronto. Travel to low-income neighborhoods and give practical help to people who need it. Build a home for low-income families. Donate clothes to youth at risk. Experience the diverse city of Toronto by getting involved with missions.

Intercultural Ministry

Tyndale is in one of the most multicultural cities in the world. Exchange ideas with people of faith from all kinds of different backgrounds. Learn the story of a new immigrant to Canada who fought their way out of oppression. Swap stories with a man who grew up in completely different understanding of the church. Build relationships with people who are from opposite cultures united by the same faith.

Global Mission Teams

Journey to a country overseas with a missions team. Every year, Tyndale sends out over 40 students to serve in a different cultural context. The people you serve will be your teachers in the way they live, act and worship. Explore a new way that God is calling you in your life. Some places that Tyndale students have gone in the past are:
Japan
Interact and build relationships with the people of Japan, sharing the message of the Gospel through evangelistic concerts to country with less than 1% of a Christian population.
India
Care and love for those who need Jesus in a practical way as you travel to Kolkata, India to minister to child addicts and prostitutes.
Dominican Republic
Organize activities and involve the youth among the “bateys”, or communities, of Haitian refugees in the city of Barahona, Dominican Republic.
