STM (Regis College), MDiv (Tyndale); CSD (certification re spiritual direction).
I am a worshiper at heart – a musician who also prays, a contemplative who also plays. This has been my path into the heart and mind of Christ. The past few years have been about integrating these two – celebrative worship and contemplative, listening prayer – in an ever-deepening and intentional way.
A helpful image for understanding “soul friendship” is of the two who journeyed together along the road to Emmaus and discovered with “joy and wonder” Jesus walking with them as well. It is in that context that I offer one-on-one meetings, resources such as reading material and music and Quiet Days. I am also available to lead personal or corporate retreats. Influenced by Anglican and Reformed spiritualities, I have also completed (and offer) the Ignatian Exercises, 19th annotation.
I completed a certificate in Grief Counseling (AICHP) and am working towards a Diploma in Ignatian Spirituality (DIS). I volunteer with hospice palliative care and a street outreach ministry. Much of my adult life has been spent teaching piano (ARCT) and leading worship. My husband and I have five adult children and several wonderful grandchildren.
