Blaine Charette is Professor of New Testament at Northwest University. He was educated in Canada, the United States and England. He holds a Ph.D. in Biblical Studies from the University of Sheffield. Dr. Charette has taught Biblical Literature for over 25 years at Colleges, Universities and Theological Seminaries in Canada and the United States. He has also served as a visiting lecturer at various educational institutions in Europe and Asia. He has published two books on Matthew's Gospel as well as several academic articles on various New Testament topics. He regularly participates in academic conferences (he is a past president of the Society for Pentecostal Studies) and serves on the Editorial Boards of several academic journals. Dr. Charette is currently working on a book related to New Testament teaching on the Holy Spirit.

Dr. Charette is teaching a course on New Testament Perspectives on the Baptism in the Holy Spirit during the Summer 2017 term.
