Dr. Bruce Martin teaches Christian education courses at Tyndale Seminary and in Lead Pastor First Baptist Church, Lethbridge, Alberta.  Bruce has also taught education and pastoral theology at Acadia Divinity College and Carey Theological College, and geography at Crandall University, Tyndale University College, Briercrest College, and Corpus Christi College.

Bruce’s background is in pastoral ministry, geography, and education.  One of Bruce’s research interests is the positive dialogue that can exist between science and Christian faith. He also enjoys exploring the practical ethical imperative that Christian faith can provide for living in relationship with the natural world. In 2016, Bruce was a Visiting Scholar at St. Edmund's College, Cambridge University, U.K. (the Faraday Institute for Science and Religion) and the recipient of a Study Grant from the Louisville Institute.

In his spare time, Bruce volunteers with the City of Lethbridge in affordable housing and environmental issues; he enjoys traveling, hiking, photography, and painting. He is still searching for the perfect dark chocolate.

Dr. Martin is teaching a course on Pastor as Teacher in the Local Church online in the Summer 2017 term.
