Dr. Charlene Pauls

Soprano Dr. Charlene Pauls has appeared on the concert stage with major orchestras across Canada, as well as internationally on stages in Germany, England, France and Spain. Her Canadian engagements have included concerts with many leading ensembles, including the Vancouver Symphony, Calgary Symphony, Winnipeg Symphony, Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony, and the National Arts Centre Orchestra, and at a wide range of festivals such as the Ottawa Chamber Music Festival and the Winnipeg New Music Festival.
Dr. Pauls currently teaches a variety of music courses at Tyndale University College in addition to serving as Music Director at an Anglican church in Oakville and conducting the Chamber Choir of the Oakville Children’s Choir. She will be touring Riga, Latvia in July 2014 with the OCC to compete in the World Choir Games, as well as appearing at Roy Thomson Hall in June 2014.
Vancouver-born Dr. Pauls achieved her doctorate from the University of Toronto in 2013 undertaking extensive work in Vocal Pedagogy, and completing a dissertation on Bach’s Cantata BWV 210. She continues to teach a wide range of ages, privately, at the university level, and within the community.
