Ian Vaillancourt

 

Ian Vaillancourt is a graduate of Tyndale University College (B.Th., 2001), and Tyndale Seminary (M.T.S., 2004). He has ten years of pastoral experience and is currently working on a Doctor of Theology degree in Old Testament at Wycliffe College, University of Toronto.

Ian’s research interests focus on Old Testament Biblical Theology and especially the Hebrew Psalter - its canonical shape, prominence in the Dead Sea Scrolls, and Christological fulfillment in the New Testament.

He is passionate about equipping Christians to have the Bible shape their personal lives, distinctive callings in the world, and service in the local church. In addition to his doctoral studies and his teaching at Tyndale, Ian also serves as an itinerant preacher and interim pastor in the Hamilton area. He lives in Ancaster with his wife, Natalie, and their two children.

Ian is a member of the Evangelical Theological Society, the Canadian Society of Biblical Studies, and the Society of Biblical Literature.
