Dr. Hjalmarson is an Advisor in the Leadership and Global Perspectives program at George Fox Evangelical Seminary, as well as Adjunct at Tyndale Seminary in Toronto. He is currently finishing Soul of the City: Mapping the Spiritual Geography of Eleven Canadian Cities, and is a member of the Canadian Evangelical Theological Association.

Len is a writer, teacher and blogger with an interest in leadership, culture and transition. He was one of the first Canadian religious bloggers at his site, Nextreformation.com. He is the author of An Emerging Dictionary for the Gospel and Culture (Resource Publications, 2010), co-author of Missional Spirituality (IVP, 2011), and editor of Text & Context: Church Planting in Canada in Post-Christendom (The Urban Loft, 2013). His book, No Home Like Place: A Christian Theology of Place (The Urban Loft, 2014) won the Grace Irwin Prize from the Word Guild in 2014.

Dr. Hjalmarson is teaching a course on Missional Theology of Place: Sign Posts in a Strange Land in the Summer 2017 term.
