Spiritual formation is a process of being conformed to the image of Christ for the sake of others” (Dr. Robert Mulholland) This definition helps us see that spiritual formation is on-going over our life time.  It is not a simple “fix” to become who God designed us to be. In many ways we have become “deformed” people. We have learned habits and ways to live that are not God’s ways.  Spiritual formation is a journey back to God. It is a journey to greater intimacy with God. That is the process and goal.  Being transformed into Christlikeness includes disciplines and practices involving the Word of God, prayer, a devotional life, discernment in our life choices, healing, commitment to  community and above all learning to love and experience God. “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.” (Matt. 22: 37-38)

In order for all of our growth, development and spiritual formation not to become self-centered and self-focused... authentic spiritual formation will always be for the sake of others.  This is the essence of love summarized by Christ in the second great commandment: “Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” (Matt 18: 39-40) The Spiritual Formation Certificate is being offered to help you and enable you to help others live in such a way that God is honored and glorified in your life.

A minimum of six modules are required to graduate from the program and receive a certificate of completion, however all seven are highly recommended. This is a non-academic program and does not require you to have previously completed a degree. These modules will also not have assignments, grades or exams.

$125.00 per module (except Module 1 $150.00 which includes 3 inventories/assessments. The facilitator will contact you once you are registered.) Tyndale full-time student, staff and alumni can receive a 10% discount. You will need to contact the Tyndale Spiritual Formation Centre to receive a discount code before registering online in order to receive this discount.

Each module is designed to stand alone.  In other words, should you not desire a certificate of completion but would like to attend a particular module that is possible.  Every module is on a Saturday, from 9:00am - 3:00pm.  Click on the modules below for more details or registration:
