The Holy Trinity in Holy Scripture:
Interpreting the Bible for the Church
May 28-30, 2008

In May 2006, we held our first conference with the theme: "Figured Out: Figuration in Biblical Interpretation." The book containing the papers from the conference has now been published and can be purchased here.
The theme for 2008 will be: "The Holy Trinity in Holy Scripture" and the keynote speaker will be Dr. John Webster.

This year's conference seeks to re-examine key biblical texts, which traditionally have been interpreted as teaching or implying the doctrine of the Trinity. The modern period has seen a loss of confidence in traditional interpretations due to an exclusive focus on the historical meaning of the text and a corresponding neglect of the figurative or canonical meaning. This conference features papers which will interact with major interpreters of Scripture from all periods of church history and how they have derived theological teaching from Scripture.
