5,000 years of Religion in 90 secs

Ben from OpenSwitch gave me the heads up about this intriguing flash animation showing the expansion of the “major religions for the past 5,000 years. It is very interesting and definitely worth the 90 seconds of your time.

Thanks for sharing. I didn’t realize how far hinduism predated the other major religions. And why does Islam not dominate colder climates?

I also took a peek at some of your photos. very nice. Your camera has nice balance and good definition. the photographer doesn’t have a bad eye either.

Brad- I was surprised about the date of Hinduism as well – I need to learn more history :)

Thanks for your comments on my photos – I really enjoy doing photography. I got a great deal on my camera and it has served me very well – hopefully I will have some time over Christmas to play more. Check back – I’ll post some more!

Hannah – It is not really mine to give – I am sure that the original creator would give you permission – on their web site there are outlined ways to use it – check that out.

I found that really interesting too. Just watching the growth and decline of the major religions over the course of the years makes for some provoking thought….if Christ tarries, what will it be like in another century?!
