Google says We are number 1

For a number of months now Tyndale University College & Seminary has placed number one on a Google search of the word “Tyndale” – actually we place number one and two – the number one spot is what I am really excited about.

Google no. 1

Fourth spot is taken with the Wikipedia article about William Tyndale – the person our school was named after.

We have worked hard to accomplish this goal and are very pleased with the results. Here are some of the things (in no particular order) I think have contributed to this success.

New Courses Search

Course SearchWe have been doing some upgrades on the main Tyndale site lately. We have been working hard to make sure that all of the data is up-to-date (no small task) and move all of the core pages into the new look and feel that we launched in December 2006.

This week we also launched a new course search tool for both the University College and for the Seminary. The tools allows you to search for courses by phrase (ie. the course title) as well as by keywords and course codes.
