well been along time since coding a nice phone dialer. By the way, your phone extension was not added by myself, my computer was changed while I was gone. *snicker*

Site looks good. Nicks review seems pretty valid.

Nice to see some clean code. (only 2 small errors acording to w3c validator)

I'm assuming the alumni sub domain is down only temporarily?

Good use of lightbox.script.

Weeeelllll, I would not say I'm a web coder per se, but as a communication designer, I get what you're saying about how design is not just the "look and feel" (a term I usually shudder to utter to clients and employers).

Code can be more a design element than colours and typefaces. It's all about intent and purpose, no?

@Tom - I guess by this you are saying that us "web guys" are not normal people ;) - this is true I guess. Watch the video in the post "Tyndale Get's a B+" (<a href="http://www.tyndale.ca/~asmith/blog/2008/11/17/website-review/" rel="nofollow">http://www.tyndale.ca/~asmith/blog/2008/11/17/website-review/</a>) - it is quite amusing when Nick starts going into the code and it amazed at the clean code - my heart leaped for joy - only us "web guys" can really appreciate things like code :)

Thanks for the link to the article - good thoughts for sure.

You said: "Okay - I could go on here forever - my point is this: a Website design (or redesign) project encompasses so much more than the basic look & feel of the web site."

If only more normal people understood this… Great post!

Thanks Andy! I really like how Nick reviews websites with his 10 second test and then acting like a prospective student. Also, his review is easy to understand so you don't have to to be a techie to follow along. Although I did get a bit lost in his review of your code but I do know that he was extremely impressed with it - way to go!
I agreed with his website and think that he made excellent points on areas we can improve on. I'm sure that we will touch on these later as we move further with the website revision project.
