BSc University of Alberta MA University of Toronto PhD University of Toronto Dr. Davis specializes in metaphysics and ontology, focusing on questions concerning individuation, substance, relations, modality, and constituent ontology. He also has interests in epistemology, philosophy of science, and philosophical theology. His publications include: "God and the Platonic Horde," Philosophia Christi (2011), "A Puzzle for Particulars?" Axiomathes (2008), "God and Counterpossibles," Religious Studies (2006), "The Brave New Bare Particularism," The Modern Schoolman (2004), "Haecceities, Individuation, and the Trinity," Religious Studies (2002), 'Partially Clad' Bare Particulars Exposed," Australasian Journal of Philosophy (2003), and "The Principlism Debate," The Journal of Medicine and Philosophy (1995). He is the editor of Alice in Wonderland and Philosophy (Wiley-Blackwell, 2010), and is currently working on a book entitled Individuating Particulars. |
