Betty was born to East Indian parents in Qatar. She grew up there and then completed pre-med studies in America and a medical degree in St. Lucia. Through her clinical rotations, Betty noticed that emotional, mental and spiritual health is as important as physical health, and she felt called to pursue a degree bridging spiritual and mental health. Betty has helped mentor many adolescents struggling with issues of intimacy, identity, and purpose. She uses a warm, affirming, and non-judgmental approach, and is interested in helping clients navigate through trauma, depression, anxiety, addictive behaviour, loneliness, career planning, perfectionistic tendencies, and issues related to communication, family of origin, self-esteem, body image, and spirituality. In her free time, Betty enjoys hand-lettering, thrifting, long walks, quality time with family, travelling and baking. She is also a dog lover and has two furry best friends.
