Position Description

The Analyst, Admissions & Marketing manages the maintenance and upkeep of admissions software, expands the applicability of the system to other areas as required, and uses available data/system to support the strategic decision-making process and automate communication and staff workflows.

Primary Responsibilities

Salesforce CRM

  • Lead the ongoing development of the Salesforce CRM system to ensure robustness and proactively look for improvement efficiencies
  • Leverage the Salesforce capabilities in relation to student recruitment, inquiry management and applicant engagement.
  • Manages all aspects of the CRM system including the day to day processes and overall operations: best practice, issue management, data quality and integrity
  • Develop work-flows for staff; create campaigns and prepare/execute email and mail campaigns
  • Research and implement new solutions for improved marketing to prospective students
  • Provides onboarding training as well as routine education, best practice tools and tips and refresh training. This includes engagement and proactive communication to all users
  • Audit and maintain the systems to ensure data integrity, security and system stability
  • Become the Salesforce admissions software expert and lead technology projects which may include implementation and enhancements of existing functionalities
  • Lead analytics and reporting for requests related to customer relation priorities
  • Work cross functionally/cross-departmentally to develop and translate business requirements
  • Integral member of Admissions Dept. with close relationship with Information Technology Dept.

Marketing Analytics

  • Using market analysis data (already obtained), create profile and ranking reports of prospective student data using tools such as Excel and ENVISION
  • Drive strategy through the develop market intelligence reports for the admissions team in order to increase their effectiveness in territory management

Position Qualifications

Education

  • Undergraduate degree 

Experience

  • 2 years’ experience, related to admissions or a sales environment with database administration and SQL experience
  • Additional assets include:
    • Certificate in Sales Force or CRM Administration
    • Experience with CRM Sales Force implementation

Skills and Abilities

  • Advanced computer skills with demonstrated strength in Excel and Access
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to visualize data and grasp the bigger picture
  • Must be able to identify risks and opportunities related to changes to business requirements
  • Strong interpersonal/relationship-building skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to multi-task and devote attention to detail
  • Proven focus on customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to be individually accountable as well as a team player

Physical and Mental Demands

  • Standard office environment and equipment
  • Continuous work and focus on a computer
  • Ability to work with multiple interruptions while ensuring attention to detail and accuracy
  • Occasional overtime and occasional evening hours and weekend shifts may be required
  • Moderate stress may result from dealing with challenging people; calm demeanour is required
