Community Chapel - Dr. Rob Patterson

Rob Patterson is Director, Church Relations, at Tyndale University College & Seminary. Rob has been serving Christ in Canada and around the world for over thirty years.  Rob received his call to mission and ministry when he was 14.  He began working with Aboriginal Canadians and the North American Indigenous Ministries during his teen years.  Rob moved to Ontario for his first degree completing a degree in Psychology at the French campus of York University.  Continuing his vision for mission and service Rob moved East to Nova Scotia where he complete a Masters in Education and a Masters in Divinity degree at Acadia University.  Most importantly he met Sarah in Halifax and they married in 1987.

Rob has served the Baptist denomination in the positions of youth leadership, education, pastoring of churches, and consultant in the area of intercultural services. Rob and his wife Sarah also served for 10 years as missionary teachers in Nairobi, Kenya. His most recent appointment was as the Communications Director of the Baptist Convention of Ontario and Quebec, and Missional Coordinator for Toronto Baptist Ministries.

He authored a book in 2003 with his friend (Dr. Bruce Fawcett) entitled “Missional Youth Ministry”.

Rob enjoys time with his family and home church.  His hobbies are photography, music, guitar, mandolin, computers and motorcycles.
