Master of Theological Studies - Online

The Master of Theological Studies (MTS) Online is a foundational program in Christian theology and ministry—it is a full online master’s degree. Its purpose is to provide understanding in the theological disciplines, integrating intellectual rigor, spiritual formation and ministry development.

This online master’s degree is structured around a missional understanding of the Church as the people of God, called and sent out into every sphere of society to witness in word and deed to the good news of God’s kingdom.

The MTS online degree makes graduate theological education accessible and manageable for people who find distance learning a better fit for their lifestyle and location. The online studies and class schedule are designed to meet the needs of students with demands such as family responsibilities, church commitments and full-time careers. There are 18 online courses from which to choose. Each course is designed to give you the flexibility of distance learning and an interactive experience with fellow online students and the professor.

You will be taught by Tyndale’s recognized faculty from wherever you live. Our faculty are available online and are prompt in answering your questions. As with students who study in-class, your professor will facilitate discussions and provide an interactive experience. You will be engaged in informative lessons, online debates and dialogue with peers and professors. You will experience a learning and supportive community during your online studies.
