Biography
Dr. Jason Davies-Kildea has more than 20 years of experience teaching theology and is currently Manager at Victorian Social Programme and Policy Unit for The Salvation Army in Melbourne, Australia. He is the author of What is the Meaning of Salvation in The Salvation Army Today? (Lambert, 2008). His research and teaching interests focus on the intersection of theology and social science, bringing together post graduate qualifications in both fields. He completed his PhD at Monash University (Australia), where his work focused on the relationship between The Salvation Army's identity as a church and its role as a major social service provider in Australia.
Dr. Davies-Kildea is teaching an asynchronous online course on Theology of Social Service in the Spring Summer 2023 semester.
