M.T.S., Dip. S.F., CSD
David Ivany has been a Salvation Army officer involved in pastoral ministry for thirty-five years, working in English and French Canada. He enjoys jazz, cycling, word games/puzzles, making people smile and hanging out with his four unique, passionate grown kids, son-in-law, two daughters-in-law and wife Beverly.
One of his favourite roles is Grandpa to Kieran, Aiden, Brennan, Liam, Sadie, Max, and Sammy.
His passion is people and vision, and he longs to see all come alive to their purpose, potential and personhood in Christ, finding a safe place to share their story.
Having completed his MTS and Diploma in Spiritual Formation at Tyndale, he is presently involved in a new position, Spiritual Director/Pastoral Care Services, to Salvation Army Clergy in Canada and Bermuda.
He is convinced that contemplation and service are not mutually exclusive. To that end he is committed to nurturing a deeper spirituality which leads to inner freedom and loving service.
