I have a passion for Christ while enjoining and sharing the spiritual journeys of other fellow sojourners. I value the importance of good mentors who God has placed in my life. Therefore, I have a depth sense of call to be a living presence to Christ’s community. For me spiritual direction is a life-long journey of a mystical process with Christ. A spiritual development towards wholeness in Christ by living in a nurturing covenant relationship[s] of listening and accountability with folks God puts around us, and to the intuitive direction of the Holy Spirit, which is rooted in relationship. My definition is rooted in my identity which has been deeply affected by the words of Jesus as recorded Mark 12: 30-31:
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with your entire mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these."
I embrace the Benedictine Tradition since it upholds care for the Kingdom here on earth as a gift to be shared by all people for the Creators purpose and design. Therefore, a focus of hospitality is central as Christ hosts the Table through the Eucharist. I believe hospitality helps us to be more intentional, and a guiding principle of Spiritual Direction.
I am an ordained Presbyterian pastor since 2007. I have had the opportunity to enjoy God’s Creation through several decades as a farmer. I offer spiritual direction by Skype all across Canada or by any other means. I have a particular passion for pastors, and those caught up in challenges of life and ministry.
