“The Glory of God is the human being fully alive.” St Irenaeus
My desire is that I, and those I companion, will experience being fully alive as they grow and deepen their personal connection with God, others and self. To this end I companion others as they explore their unique journey of discovering ‘Christ within, the hope of glory’ and open themselves to being transformed unto the mind and heart of Christ. Spiritual direction is a practice that supports persons to discover God in all things and discover the meaning and deeper purpose of all life experiences. I enjoy offering one-to-one direction in the context of daily life, or prayer companioning geared to enhance and deepen prayer experiences or structured direction according to the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises. I also enjoy offering retreats, group spiritual direction sessions, spiritual formation sessions and contemplative practice groups within both church contexts and the community.
I have enjoyed a full time career in health care, facilitating the holistic development of children and youth with complex disabilities while engaging part-time in soul care activities that facilitate persons’ spiritual growth and development. I have recently retired from health care and now focus my time on spiritual formation and spiritual direction in my community. I completed my Spiritual Direction Certificate (SoulStream, 2007) completed a certificate in Spiritual Formation (Jubilee Associates, 2006), training in Ignatian Spiritual Direction (Loyola House, 2008) and an MA in Spiritual Formation (Carey Theology College, 2014). I am currently engaged in the Shalem Institute 18 month program - Leading Contemplative Prayer Groups and Retreats.
