Tyndale BEd Residence Form

Application Process

This application if for one BEd academic year only (August 2019 to November 2020). Your application is complete once you have submitted the following:

  • Accepted into the BEd Progam
  • Tyndale BEd Residence Application Form
  • $500 residence deposit
Your application will not be processed until all these items have been received.

When your completed residence application has been received, we will review it and we will contact you if there is any information that we need to clarify.  The Residence Director will review your file and you will be notified by email regarding your acceptance into Residence.  If you have not had a response to your application in a reasonable amount of time, please feel free to inquire about it.  Please do not assume that your application has been approved unless expressly written in an email.

Application Deadline

Applications are due by July 1.  Applications received after the deadline will be processed on a first-come-first served basis as space permits.  Preference is given to students living outside the Greater Toronto Area.

Residence Deposit

The $500 deposit reserves your space in Residence and is held on file until you leave and no longer plan to return.  When you leave residence and complete a Residence Deposit Refund form, your deposit will be refunded, providing certain standards are met (specific policies and details are outlined in the Student handbook.).

Residence Fees

The BEd residence fee is divided into 3 payments cover 12 months (August 1, 2019 - July 31, 2020).  This allows for a more manageable payment option for those living in residence.  The final fee covering August 1 - November 30, 2020 will be available in the Winter 2020 Academic semester.

Double $5,555

* Room fees include residence administration fees, but does not include a mandatory meal plan (please be aware that the meal plan is only during the Fall semester (August - December) and the Winter semester (January - April) and it is required to have the meal plan for both semesters.

Note: Due to the BEd program structure being 16 months it is not advisable to pair a BEd student with a UC or Sem. student who has an 8 month program/year.  Therefore, if there are other BEd students who apply to live in residence the Community Life Senior Manager will pair BEd students together.

Application Withdrawal

Should you decide to withdraw your residence application and therefore require your residence deposit be returned, you must do so on or before July 1 when applying.  Your residence deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable after these dates.

Residence Move-In Dates

All BEd students must move into residence in over the weekend of July 26-28.  Classes begin on Monday, July 29, 2019.

General Information
This new tiered meal plan system allows for you to adjust your meal plan according to your eating habits. The "Base" meal plan allows for $13/day for 14 weeks, White: $15/day for 14 weeks, Purple: $16/day for 14 weeks, and Gold: $19/day for 14 weeks. This cost will be added to your room fees each semester.

As the BEd rooms are double this process helps us pair people together according to their living styles.
