Residence & Meal Plan Fees

Living in residence is an affordable option for Tyndale students to be closer to classes and build friendships. 

Below are residence fees and the mandatory tax free meal plan cost for students in all Tyndale programs except the Bachelor of Education (BEd) program. Payment plans are available to help ease your financial pressures.

The residence fees and meal plan cost listed on this page are effective May 1, 2022 through April 30, 2023.

All prices are in Canadian dollars. Prices and deadlines are subject to change.


Residence Fees

The following is residence fees per semester calculated based on your choice of room type. This residence fees include residence administration fees.

Tax Free Meal Plan

The meal plan is mandatory for those who choose to stay in residence. The residence fees above does not include this mandatory meal plan cost. The meal plan cost will be added to your residence fees each semester. Meal credits cannot be converted to cash. All meal credits expire at the end of each semester.

Every resident will receive a swipe card with a declining balance. The card may be used in the cafeteria and in the coffee shop during operating hours. Students with allergies and sensitivities can set up a meeting with the Cafeteria manager when they move in to let them know what their restrictions are.

There are 4 tiers in the meal plan for you to choose according to your eating habits.

Residence Deposit

The residence deposit of $1000 must be paid within three business days of the student receiving email notification from Tyndale regarding residence acceptance to confirm your room in residence. View payment method information

This residence deposit will be applied only to your winter term residence fees. The residence deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable once it is received by Tyndale.
