The Journey to Forgiveness: A Model for Peace & Reconciliation Training Workshop

Event Date(s): Sat, 2019/10/19 - 9:00am to 3:00pm
Event Type: TIM Centre

Location: Tyndale University College & Seminary (Map)

We invite you to an exciting event where you will hear what difference the Diaspora can make in the global community. We will present a case study of the Sri Lankan community of how a group of diaspora leaders equipped Church leaders to bring God’s peace to a war-torn community. We also invite you to discuss this in the context of your community and the Canadian context and to join an ongoing emerging network.

In this one-day seminar you will:

  • Learn principles about P&R as diaspora working with their home countries
  • Participate in an interactive learning experience and discuss a working model of how people from the Sri Lankan community did it
  • Be introduced to a holistic theological framework of P&R
  • Provide your feedback & ask questions
  • Be a part of an ongoing learning community seeking to engage in P&R, both in Canada and overseas.

Cost

A donation of $10.00 will cover expenses for lunch and refreshments.

Speakers

We will be joined by these two speakers. They will be leading the seminar with the TIM Centre team.
